Dave's FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
"Hey,
Dave...."
- Q: How
many songs do you know?
- A:
Over 400 songs by heart, and another 300 songs I sometimes need to
look at the sheet music to get through.
- Q: Did
you make-up the "Connect The
Dots" drinking song?
- A: Not
all of it; The first part came from a line in "Pee-Wee's Playhouse,"
and I added the ending to it myself.
- Q: Where
were you born? Where do you live now?
- A:
I was born in New York, and have lived in Florida for a long time
now; I worked on cruise ships for over 7 years. You can find more
personal information in my biography.
- Q: Do you
live on the cruise ships you work on?
- A: Yes,
when i'm working for a cruise line, I live on the ship and do the
same run, every week, for months at a time, but what makes it fun
is there's always different people every week.
- Q: How
many beer cans does it take to "Connect The Dots"
around the piano?
- A: It takes
116 cans around a baby grand piano!
- Q: How
do you remember all those song lyrics?
- A: Although
I am constantly working on new songs, I tend to forget what I know,
especially if they don't get requested that often, so I go over old
tunes every so often. But you see, everyone knows hundreds of songs
already; I just rekindle those memories of those lyrics you thought
you'd forgotten since your high school prom!
- Q: When
is your birthday?
- A: October
15 (Libra). Look below to see what would make a good gift. (hint hint!)
- Q: What
are a few of your favorite things (besides music)?
- A: X-Files,
X-Men, Marvin The Martian, Scooby-Doo, Xena, 7 of 9 from StarTrek
Voyager (and yes, those geeky Sci-Fi Conventions), anchovy pizza,
artichoke hearts, Greek food, 7-11 Slurpees, model trains, computers,
and of course, music, voice & piano "fake" books, sheet
music, CDs, music, piano things...
